Youth Fire Program

The academy just ended its fifth annual academy yesterday and we are already starting on next year's. Please mark your calendars July 12 - 18, 2009. This years program had fifty four kids from around Ohio and New Jersey. YES, New Jersey sent five kids and three adults to the Ohio Youth Fire and Emergency Medical Services Training Academy, held at Hocking College in Nelsonville. They used money from a safer grant to pay for this training opportunity. Three of the explorers with my local FD attended that. We send Explorers every year. I can attest that I've heard nothing but good things about this program. I plan on attending next year.
