I have now taken 3 civil service tests all scoring in the mid 80's. I think that I have narrowed my problem areas down to reading comprehension and situational type questions such as "you are performing overhaul and notice a fellow firefighter pocket $50, what do you do." I have learned to try and separate questions into categories like legal and moral with these types of questions. All in all I would like to open up a discussion in hopes that you all can share some tricks, like the legal vs. moral, to help myself and others on civil service tests. Again I think my problem areas are in reading comprehension and situational questions, but tips about any sections are welcome. Thank you all for your time.
