i am fresh elected fire chief of a new volunteer firedepartment (in formation) in western paraguay.
i registered in this forum, because of my knowledge....
... my knowledge about firefighting being mostly being concious of the fact, that i have to learn everything i can about firefighting, and as quick as possible.

we are seven volunteers. six to finish the firefighter 1 training in september, and one firefigter one.
our first six (smaller) fires we fought in civilian clothes, with a borrowed watertruck from the local roadconstruction department.
so we had just enough practice beside the training, to see that we have to learn a lot more, than the trainingmaterial transmits.
