Default the USFS has it out for me..

I don't understand how they could have so many positions at the 03 grade, but only 2 or 3 at the 02 grade. How to they expect to fill those positions if there are no people eligible to come in to work their way up?

Pretty simple......get more training and apply for an 03 position.

(I know that it may not be that simple, but it should be.)

    Default Hmm..

All you need is six months of general work experience to be a GS03. You don't even have to have it in fire related backgrounds. This time of the year having your basic Wildland courses done is about the only way to get hired if anyone is hiring. Have an Application in starting in the begining of feb 2009 for jobs in 2009. Any later good luck.
