dropping off an updated resume

I have an interview with a city department and it says not to bring an updated resume to the interview. My question is this...can I bring a resume to personel before the interview and have them put it my file? I figure I could drop it off tomorrow and come back for the oral board on Tuesday.

I actually have been listening to your cd's to prepare for an interview I have on Tuesday. They came a few days ago so I am really cramming. There are still a few questions I am unsure of.

1. Conflict with another employee?
2. Irate citizen?
3. An employee crisis at an emergency? I am not even sure what this is asking.
4. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Is that with the agancy I am interviewing with or my current job?
5. Have you been in an emergency situation and what did you do?
6. What would you do if another city called you? I would accept the first offer I recieve and not look back. I believe I have every right to test with as many agancies as I can.
