Default JR Firefighter Wins AFG Award

Congratulations to Joshua Chilcote, a 14 year old Jr FF from Geistown VFC, PA who wrote and won a new $260K engine for his department. Read about this incredible accomplishment for this young man. He is a real credit to his community, his parents and department.

Right now I don't think Geistown would let him out of their sight, or sell him, for any less than $260,000. LOL!

I would hope that this qualifies him for Eagle scout,
$260k for a firetruck is a pretty impressive merit badge. :-]

Actually, he is currently completing the entire process and has undertaken the task of raising funds and remodeling the entire living quarters for the fireman at his station house. This kid has real ambition and work ethic.

it is nice to see a young person, motivated and willing to take on a tasks that is not in his job duties, for say. I hope he keeps up the good work. And maybe some of the other younger people will see this as a example and feel motivated to do more than the minumum required, good job Josh you deserve a pat on the back!
