Mike, I think we are getting ready for what you just got. Its was 59 degrees here at 0700 and they are saying we will be in the 20's this evening with up to 2" of sleet and snow mix. Kurt and Brian are probably getting a nice kick back from all of the snow tire people.

Alum Bank seminar
Hi just to let everyone know that Kurt seminar is excellent. This is my second time that I have been to his seminar and have pick-up a little more information this time around. Kurt also kept up his tradition and brought the snowy weather in to the area with him. But we managed to make it though and sunday after class the weather had improved. Also I guess Kurt while in the area tour our fire hall and the WTC cross and the Flight 93 memorial. So look forward to working with Kurt and everyone Else on here and the future and thanks to Kelly for having us and everything they provide was greatly appreciated. So good luck to everyone in your grant writing. Anyone that not sure if it is worth the money you don't know what you are missing to you have went through this seminar. Kurt looking forward to the 2009 AFG grant and working with you in the future

Dear John SAFER
I just got a dear john for our 2008 SAFER application. I don't know if this means the flood gates are opening, but if you are in the New England area there is still room if Kurt's January seminar in New Hampshire!

I want to say thank you also for the nice compliments. I am usually in a major panic the days before something like this, and it again was no exception. You all were very easy to please though. I knew there was no sense in me trying to concentrate this time, so why not just be there to help. Sorry I ran off Saturday for the structure fire, but boys must play. You all stay safe out there and good luck.

OK all you fence sitters, 1st round DJ notices for peer review are being sent out as I write this. No excuses for not getting educated to take advantage of final two years of AFG. I have obtained a new sponsor for the remainder of my 08-09 National Seminar Tour dates which has allowed us to lower tutition fees. How do you spell economic relief? How does $149 per person admission and a $150 grab bag full of 5.11 tactical gear sound? Come and get it!

Hey Kurt--i got an okay to come down to the Indy seminar. But only from the department so far--still need to clear it with my Big Chief!! Not a good time to ask her, maybe New Year's Eve after the champaign toast. For $149 it's a no-brainer.

Kurt - Is the $149 deal going to apply to the Bushnell Basin, Pittsford, NY class? If so, I may be able to squeze the $$$ for a second attendee out of the board....

No, sorry, the new sponsor only picked up the remaining National seminars for me now as this is a test run for them. Based on how they do with us, sponsorship next year may include them taking on some Agency Hosted seminars too. I have to wait and see. They tried to get the price down enough to leave room for departments to buy airline flights, which a $350 savings will accomplish but the Agency Hosted seminars are still the same price.
If you think about it, it works out to be about the same price either way you look at it, when you figure travel costs and the higher hotel costs in major cities. Travel costs in a local regional area are considerably cheaper when you don't have to buy an airline ticket or pay for ground transportation fees.
