No worries mates. I have arrived. I may be frozen like a popsicle but, I have arrived. I am actually in my hotel in Somerset so no excuses anyone; if I can make you can. Oh and by the way, I will have everybody out and home in time for the Steeler playoffs! See you all tomorrow.

Brian did it AGAIN........No sooner than he clicked the last slide of his PowerPoint in SW Missouri today the pagers start going off emptying the class for a 2 alarm structure.

Then as he is driving back to KC he comes up on a car fire.

Once again Brian helps the Missouri call volume.

How long's he been down here? I've got a little turd lighting grass fires, I wonder if Brian's the culprit.

I could kill a couple of guys that owe me trade time and had "something" keeping them from paying me back today. I was really looking forward to going today.

Brian if you and I are not careful they are all going to start calling us " doom and disaster" as nicknames. Between your fires and my blizzards we keep em hopping don't we? And for those of you wondering yes, it is snowing to beat the band here. I can tell already Monday's drive to DC is going to be an E-Ticket ride for sure.

He has been in the area a couple of days....Hmmmmm I wonder.

Hopefully he is on the silver bird on the way back to TX right now. At least he ran the sub-zero temps away.

Nah, O-God hundred flight in the morning. Wasn't anything late enough tonight so maybe KC takes on some urban renewal since I'm floating around their hood. Hey call volumes are good things, increases computer scoring.

At least you're 2 hours from me tonight! I'd kind of like to sleep tonight and keep this shift an 0-fer.

If you went through Joplin, you took the long way around! LOL If you went through Purdy, you went an even longer route (that'll just affect tomorrow when I have to investigate it when I get home, though).

I might be safe still yet.

If I hear of anything happening in KC tonight I am calling my Fire Marshal buddy there and giving him your number.

Nah, 13 to 7 to 71. Straight shot up.

No worries about firebug here. Only lighting up I do is cigar-related.

And the snow is still Kurt, not me (knock on wood). Up and back to Denver over the past 48hrs and it was 60 and sunny. Of course as I went to the PO Box down I-10 a bit coming back I saw Brookshire TX with a big old column from the middle of town. Working with them on 2009 AFG but guess that will help the 2010 app...

Hey, hey congratulations. I think I may have shed the Iceman moniker. It is great weather here in Dallas. Going to get to 70 today they tell me. I left Florida this morning at 27 degrees.

Well fellow forum feeders, here is some information to share with the Illinoisians and surrounding areas. A group of us will be putting on classes all over the state in the coming months. Having been to both Kurt and Brian's seminars, what we have to offer pales in comparison, but it at least offers some departments a basic understanding of how the grant program works and some ideas of other funding solutions that are out there. The classes are free and open to anyone. The only thing we ask is that you limit the number attending to 2 per department so we have plenty of room for everyone. If you have any questions, need further information, or would like to sign up for a class then please e-mail me at theallisonfamily@sbcglobal.net

Thanks Andy! It's small time but thought I would put some of the knowledge learned here and from Kurt to good use. I am certain the info you helped me with will be valuable as well!

Ryan, you must be a glutton for punishment, or as a recruit I need to speak to your truck officer and see if he can't find you a little more down time work. Good luck, I didn't see anything close to me that I could attend.

I did the same thing just this morning. Couldn't see trying to make the commute in the snow. It's about 2 1/2 hrs each way in good weather.
    See you wed.

    Default Weather

Looks like the local weather people don't want to commit but the local forecaster said as much as 12 inches of the white stuff. Although it looks like most of the snow will fall while we are in class. I with you on the warm-up. It has been down right cold!!

The weather guessers over here on the Maine coast are calling for 12-16" starting Wed morning, so Manchester will probably get it's share of that.
Hopefully it will all be done by Thursday.
