    Default TNT NFPA Information

    Does anyone have NFPA 1936 information on the TNT SL series or the new BFC cutter? We are helping a neighboring department with a new tool evaluation and are trying to put together a comparison chart for the project. Shoot me a link. Thanks.

    I actually tried that and they said NFPA isnt very important to them, what matters is how the tools perform on a real car. They said since none of the materials used in the NFPA test can be found on an automobile, it shouldnt have that much weight in our decision. We had a firecall and I had to hang up, but I never got the ratings out of him??? Anyone out there, such as a TNT rep that can provide me with a place to find the numbers?

    You've been given some good advice.Numbers can be fun to look at but are NOT necessarily a good representation of what the tool can do in the field with a competent operator.I'm sure if you talk to the right folks at TNT they can furnish the numbers but a better test might be to do live cuts on vehicles with various mfgs of tools.Allows you to compare pumps and controls too which you won't get from "NFPA"numbers.     Old and Wise:

    I have to thank you for that incredible amount of information. Unfortunately, that is all stuff I have already pulled off of the website. What I am really interested in is the NFPA Cutter Level Ratings, I think they go something like "A/B/C/D/E". Sorry if I caused you to do way more work than necessary. Surely if you have all of that info you posted handy, you must have the cutter level ratings. That info would complete the preliminary end of our project. I hope to hear back from you soon.     I was talking to my rep the other day about the same things. I was told to call Tim at the plant to get the low down on where they are in the SL and NFPA testing processes.
