Figured I would put this online in case someone missed it in the Sunday paper.

The Town of South Kingstown is seeking applicants for full-time Paramedics. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Selection process will be based upon but not limited to: " Resume/CV review " Oral Interview " Ride along " Occupational Health Screening " Background investigation " References " All positions have a one year probationary period In addition to the benefits afforded to each Town employee, Paramedics also benefit from: " Over $600 in stipends towards continuing education each year " Supplied uniforms, personal safety equipment, and cleaning services " Opportunity to work seven, 24-hour shifts or three days on/off schedule (based on seniority bid system) " Frequent opportunities for overtime " Paid court time " Paid holidays (regardless of whether you worked them or not) " Employees may take compensation leave in lieu of overtime " Municipal third service model EMS system, no fire fighter cross training or heavy rescue training " No academy. MIN REQ: Minimum qualifications to apply: " National Registry EMT-P certification (must have State of RI, EMT-P license to be hired " ACLS " BCLS " PALS The preferred candidate will have: " Graduated from a Paramedic program with a minimum of 1500 curriculum hours " Paramedic education consistent with State of RI standing orders for Paramedics, including central lines, invasive airway " NRP " ATLS (audit), BTLS, or PHTLS " Minimum of one year full time work history as a Paramedic " Strong clinical documentation skills, experience with SOAP format " Proficiency in Microsoft Office software " Four-year degree in the life sciences or public administration " Strong written and oral communication skills " Clean criminal and driving record. No evidence of department of health disciplinary actions. (selection process dependent upon criminal, traffic and department of health history)
