We require FFI, EVOC, and pumps. In addition, we have an in-house training program that must be completed. The program includes a certain number of hours driving the vehicle non-emergency with an approved training officer. After that is completed, you must drive a certain number of calls emergency and be evaluated by the officer. We also require that people drive the smaller vehicles (ambulance/brush truck) before moving to the engines, then the tanker and then the squad.
