Default Transfer of Michigan Certs to Wisconsin???

I've been searching here and all over and cannot find out whether Michigan Fire Certifications are Transferrable to Wisconsin. Michigan uses the IFSAC Essentials Manual, but is not an IFSAC state, but to transfer in you have to be IFSAC. I'm Certified FF1&2 in MI, and looking at some jobs in WI. But, I need to tranfer my Certs.

So if anyone knows the answer, or can point me in the right direction, it would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I'd say email IFSAC and ask them if it's possible. Otherwise check their site and they have a list of colleges that clarifies whether or not they are IFSAC. All WI technical schools in WI are IFSAC.

Just curious, how many hours are FFI and II for MI? It's 96 for FFI and 40(I think) for FFII in WI.

Hey, there is no such thing as "IFSAC Essentials Manual." Maybe you're thinking of the "IFSTA Essentials Mnaual." Two different animals.

Mich is not accredited by IFSAC, so you would not be able to tranfer certs to Wis. through www.IFSAC.org

Try to contact the State Fire Marshal's office in Wisconsin. They should have info on how to get reciprocity or transfer certs. When I moved from Kansas to Arizona, all I needed to do was take the Fire written and practical exam.
    Good Luck!

    Cool

I found out that I need to challenge the FF1 written and practical, and the FF2 written and practical.
