    Default California CPAT

I looked around and couldn't find any info on this...

Can someone let me know where I need to go to participate in this test?

Let me give you a heads up, its not going to be as easy as it looks. A lot of people fail cpat. Make sure you train for it.

Yeah....Be in shape!!! get your cardio UP....I took my practice run today and was able to get it done in 9:06.....I was givin another opportunity to do it again and did a 9:07......Boy was I winded after each run....But, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND A PRACTICE RUN.

I've signed up for the whole practice run as well, orientation, practice and test. Sacramento during the weekend of the 25th.

Thanks for the info, I work out all the time anyway so just another day at the office for me!

Can anyone reccomend a solid hotel to stay at near the sac cpat facility? Are there any close by?

Call the sac facility. I'm sure they will know the close by lodging and probably one that will give you a discount. If not do a google search of the address then search lodging near there.

If I remember correctly, there are some newer "Micro-Tels" along the 5 freeway. Perfect for your CPAT vaation/experience.

I'm not much of a hotel person. I go for hostels. So here is my suggestion. http://www.norcalhostels.org/sac/

A large department in the bay area got real nervous when a small one armed women almost passed their CPAT.

The CPAT is not difficult at all. I do not work out often at all and passed it in 8:06. That was after I flew accross the country a few hours before. Just don't make sure you dont fall of the stair machine and the rest is cake. Good luck

Again- I took the CPAT with the flu and passed. Because of being ill, I almost threw up at the end. Looking back, I kinda wish I did remembering that not so good feeling in my tummy.

Again, thanks for the info guys. I've got my hotel reservation all set up and it's not too far from the testing facility. Have the orientation and practice on thursday and the actual test on friday. I'm beginning to think that I won't need the practice run..I guess it can't hurt though!

I took it in CA a few years ago. I watched many people fail.

I liked the nice card I got. Handy

I took it at the one in Orange. Not sure where your location is, but if you need info on the Orange location for CPAT, message me.

    Default Well

    Just finished it up today.

In all honesty if you have a history in the fire service and already know what the dq spots are, the practice and orientation probably aren't needed. Didn't hurt though, was in an out both days very quickly.
