Are you looking for a mentoring program or a more formal FTEP/FTO program?

We are a (non union) third service EMS agency with a very structured FTEP/FTO program that has been recognized in the Best Practices in EMS journal. It is based strongly on the San Jose Law enforcement model of FTEP/FTO as we felt we had more in common with law enforcement than the fire service with our needs, culture, and mentality.

That said, there are definitily parts on performance evaluation that may be useful to you, hell you might like the whole darn thing.

Its written for law enforcement, and the writing style is overly basic...but still has some interesting points.

BTW, I dont work for Glen Kaminsky nor would benifit financially from this.

There is a new EMS FTO book from brady that is , IMHO .."OK", it has soem good points on "prompts" and their role in evaluation as well as the field...but overall it lacks a lot of "Depth" in my humble opionion.
