    My department is staffed twenty-four hours a day with part-time employees with the exception of the chief who is full-time. Which standard would we be covered by 1710 or 1720???

    1710 would apply.

    When fire is cried and danger is neigh,
    "God and the firemen" is the people's cry;
    But when 'tis out and all things righted,
    God is forgotten and the firemen slighted.
