    Default 10Q Question

9a) Have you previously received a FEMA/DHS Assistance to Firefighters Grant?

If our county has been awarded a regional grant but no funds have been requested at this point, do we need to include this as one of our grants? We were not the host company on this grant and are not sure what is going to happen with it. Thank you for your help.

    Kelly,

Your best bet is to contact the GMS listed on the q's for clarification.

IMO, the grant award should be listed. Even though you are not the "host" you would be a recipient of the equipment and listed as such. The formal award has been made, but I do see your other point, technically the award has not been accepted since funds have not been recieved. Always best to get an answer from the horse's mouth.

You are allowed to receive both, so being a party to a Regional shouldn't at all affect your eligibility or award of an individual grant.

They just ask that so they can make sure that all rules are being followed on all grants you're involved in. At least your part of it anyway, can't control the host but since they have to search for everything to check anyway listing it in the 10Qs makes it easier for them to make sure they found them all. If they find one that you didn't list they have to do more checking and slows the process down slightly.

One question is can we contact the help desk and verify that our 2003 grant has been closed without knowing the user id?

Your best bet is to contact your FPS to verify. They keep tabs on the grants for their region.

In case the email doesn't go through. Go to firegrantsupport.com. At the top right click on "Contact Us". Scroll down the page and you will find the contact info for your FPS. Looks like you are Region VI.

Good luck. Was the FPS able to take care of the question about the 2003 grant?
