Default Obama wants to bankrupt the Coal Industry

He wants to impose huge economic penalties on carbon emissions.
What do you think this will do to your power bill? This will effect everyone, rich and poor.

The Democrats have been trying to impose carbon taxes and raise the price of energy ever since Al Gore lost the election. What amazes me is that the Republicans seem to ignore this one. I guess they would like to see the price of energy go up as well.

Try again. McCain supports the onerous cap and trade.

Duh exactly. Listening is fundamental. You should try it.

I didn't criticize a cap & trade program, neither did the video. I'm critical of how steep his plan is. I always been proponent of such programs, as long they were marginal.

Economics 101 proves how "cap & trade" systems work. This is nothing new. They're also known as emissions trading or pollution vouchers. The Pollution Voucher term was not very PC so politicians had to find another name.

But as with any Pigovian tax, if it is too steep, then it's impacts may be more than the market can bear.

Obama wants to reduce the emissions at any cost. He openly admits that his plan is more aggressive than anyone else's. (0:16)

To think that the most aggressive cap & trade plan in Washington will not cause dramatic increases in costs for electricity is foolishness. If he bankrupts the coal industry, and there isn't something ready to replace it, then the cost of electricity goes through the roof.

Now I can tell you where a lot of your REFUNDABLE TAX CREDIT will go, to the power companies.
