I've been saying this for years. People are clueless about what they are voting for.

ETA - I've heard this one before. This isn't abnormal for the average voter.

One thing that I've noticed in the local paper's editorial section is a lot of leters from Democrats who say that Republicans are hateful because they did not vote for Obama and that it was racist of them to vote against him.
However, the people who identify themselves as Republican are not doing anything worse than saying that"He is my President now so I have to support him.".
The worst I have read from that category was about how we have an affirmative action President now.
There's been a few that also ask for an explanation of what Obama has done in the past to rate such accolades and they get rebuttals calling them "hateful" and "racist" as well.
When George W.Bush got elected and re-elected,you NEVER saw letters from Democrats about how "George W.Bush is my President which means that I MUST support him.....".
He got comments like "I am ashamed that Bush is from Texas" and efforts by the media to undermine every thing that he said and did.
The same media,as evidenced by Chris Matthews,is starting to swear to do everything they can to ensure that Obama has a successful Presidency.
Ever wonder which side of the aisle has the haters?

So now it's the media's fault McCain ran a bad campaign?

As far as voters being stupid, a CBS/New York Times poll released shortly before the election showed that 14 percent of Republicans and 13 percent of independents believed Obama was a Muslim. And 23 percent of all Texas voters believed Obama was a Muslim before the election.

It's not like one side of the aisle has the market cornered on being ill informed or being clueless.

    Question And??.............

SC - Honest Question: If McCain would have won, would the "Media Personalities" have publicly stated that they would do everything they could so he would have a successful Term??

The real issue isn't republican or democrat. There is nothing partisan to it. The American voter is uneducated about the candidate.

What is funny is my friend (a liberal) took the lead from the original. She tried it at work, she tried at the local bar, it was amazing. People actually though Sarah Palin was a good running mate for Obama. And they were OK that Obama was Pro Life. I swear to god. We need to have an entrance quiz to qualify to vote.

It is scary that people are not making educated choices.

Why are you asking me? I'm not a "Media Personality." You'll have to ask them.

But if you want to delve in hypotheticals I'll answer by saying "sure."

    Prove me wrong.

Love your new tag line. It only proves you're one of the uneducated voters.

I love how John Ziegler draws conclusions of 65M people based upon anecdotes of roughly a dozen people. I'm sure an equeally mean spirited lib could do the same thing with any number of conservatives. Like I posted earlier, a significant number of republicans believe Obama is a muslim.

Does that make them uneducated voters?

Bottom line, McCain lost. He ran a bad campaign and chose a poor running mate. When one throws a hail mary pass, there has to be a good receiver on the other end. There wasn't.

His premise that the media didn't do their jobs is fallacy at best, demogaugery at worst. Google “Barack Obama”+”William Ayers” and nearly a million hits come back. Google “Barack Obama”+”Rev. Wright” and 2.2 million hits come back. “Obama is a Muslim” draws 3.5 million hits. The news about Obama’s “troubling associations” has been reported to death. Its been on every mainstream news program, in every major TV network newscast, talked about endlessly on talk radio and written extensively about in the Blogsphere.

If Ziegler claims it wasn't reported it is only because he wasn't paying attention.

Wow... This was my first presidential election and I know the answers to those questions. (except the Barney Frank question). (To note I voted democratic though I am more of a constitutionalists)

Though I wonder how many people they truly interviewed. I love biased media on all the sides.

I didn't vote for him.....but I am giving him a chance to prove himself...

You gotta love people. Ask important questions like who powerful members of Congress are and they never heard of them. Ask about clothes and pregnant teenagers and they can regurgitate that like it was their own name.

I understand very little about the thinking of other people. I myself did not vote Obama. on 20 January he will be sworn in as President. That means that until at least 2012 he IS my President and the office if not the man should be held in the highest of regards. It is however very sad that the electorate as a whole looked so hard for Hope and Change that they either did not know one candidate from the other except by Obama is the Democrat or they were only voting for him because he is half African and that makes the ones that voted for him more enlightened because they looked past race.
