Coming right out of academy, I suffered an injury at my station that left me unable to work for the better part of a year. I'm maybe halfway through my recovery right now, and trying to go through this physical therapy as aggressively as I can, as this disability stuff is miserable. Either way I've no doubt that this will screw with my status as an FNG royally, and I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this or has any advice.
Training and skills as I'm coming off this injury (working on them when I become physically able to do so) is a given... but aside from understanding that I'm still on day 1, anything else?
