I want to try and start a Fire Explorers group at my local FD. Fire Fighting has be in my blood for several generation's (thats why my user name is Firefamily44gen) on both my moms and dads side. So far my sate has only one Fire explorer program and I live no where near it. I talk to the guy in charge of exploring for DelMarVa and he said he would be willing to help try to get a group going. He also told me that its been trying get the FD interested in starting a Fire Explorer program do to that my sate is a Vol state.
My question is, Does anyone have any hints/tips on starting and continuing a Fire Exploring post.
thanks,
Austin

Shoot me an email if the department likes the idea. You are more than welcome to copy all of our rules, regulations, sops. Etc.
Jhoffman358@yahoo.comJust because it's called a throw bag, doesn't mean you throw the whole bag... you're supposed to hold onto the rope.

One of the best placed you can start is the Exploring website. Take the advise/info posted on their site, what's posted here, and contact the closest Learning for Life office (the website will help you find it) and start from there.
