I have already asked a good friend of mine his imput on this and recieved it. It was really close to what i was thinking, but i want to know your ideas...
What percentage of a chance would you give to a department requesting a brusk truck thru AFG?
I will check responses tommorow, have a great night and God Bless America!
- Looking to ask for $140,000.
- About 20-40 brush fires average for the last 3 years with 600+ acres being burned.
- Just recieved a pumper/tanker grant & maybe an equipment grant this year.

Every thing comes into play; previous awards, need, cost etc. in determining an award. As for your chances, I would think that you would make it to PR. Comparing it to our award in 2005, your stats are way, way above what I had. On average 19 incidents with maybe 5 acres per year. The only difference between then and now is the reporting of acres lost.
Go for it.

Judging by the 08 awards the $ amount seemed to be around 125k for the feds share of brush trucks.
you should score well with the call volume numbers and acreage burned #'s.
As bugle said you can't win if you don't play the game.
We are expecting delivery of our new brush truck next month. Cost was 123k for a F550 with an aluminum flatbed body with side boxes and a 42 hp diesel powered 250 gpm Cafs skid mount with a 300 gal water tank & 15 gal foam.
We are having the truck built by CET in Quebec Canada
