most communities have a Civil Immunity Act. The City insurance would only pay the out of pocket $ for the person, which would be their deductible.

    Question Hmmmm..........

OK, I'm a bit short on Information here. Was the Polite, mild mannered lady a 911 operator, or an administrative person in a FD office??...... Reason I'm asking, you try something like that here on a 911 line, you're getting a visit real quick from the PD, and if you exhibit that behavior to them, you're on the way to a medical facility for an emergency psych exam.........

I would have hung up on her after the first 10 seconds. Not my problem, call someone who cares.

I was in the left hand lane, and I wasn't making a turn...
Whatever happened to pull to the right for sirens and lights?

I'd charge her for failure to give way to emergency vehicles, fine her and tell her to PAYYYYYYY UP!

I think that's my ex wife's mother.Sure sounds like her.If she HAD called the cops on the 911 operator, how did she think the call would be dispatched? That the call would go out from "Pizza by the Pound"?
The other day,I was trying to buy a rifle and the background check came back denied so I called the number to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and got "helped" by a lady that couldn't even find the paperwork I'd sent in the day before.
About the only reason I held my tongue as much as I did was realizing that I did not want to be arguing a firearms transaction denial with someone holding one HUGE Ace:"Sir,you seem to have anger control problems and you want me to approve a firearms sale to you?Is this correct?". I took the bandaid off my tongue yesterday.
Like a cop friend said on how he deals with people shouting at him over a minor ticket when they also could have gotten gigged over another infraction that he had seen,he just gets his ticket pad back out, clicks his pen, smiles and waits for them to realize just how [CENSORED] they are now.

    She's nuts.

But she did get hit by an emergency vehicle and it could be easily argued that the engine driver did not use due regard.

It very well may be one of those situations that the FD should have dealt with rather than deal with the media issues.

    Imagine that.

    The gutless coward weighs in.

What makes this one so special and classic? The wonder coward didn't even have a video to go off of. Off a telephone conversation he already has the pitch forks out and the torches lit to crucify the ECC.

Clearly a fake, you can even hear the chuckling in the background, and the crazy lady's speech is too clear to be a recorded telephone conversation.

    Yup, that's me.

Ok let's figure this out. An engine clips a civilain vehicle that is not moving. Doesn't take a rocket engineer to figure out who's probably at fault.

I agree with CowBucks, too many things give it away that this is a fake. Sounds like exactly what it's advertised as - a bit on a morning radio show.

The laughing is probably because the call taker put her phone on speaker for everyone else in the dispatch center or office to hear. I would! "Hey ya'll. Listen to this one!" Seriously, there are people out there like this. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this was 100% real.

I happened to be at City Hall today when a woman called to complain about her electric bill and demanded the City do something about it...
