I am in the need for some new Window punches and I was wondering what everybody else likes? I am wanting one that is the spring type and not the style that you have to push to operate. I have tried the ones with the handcuff key on the back of them and they aren't worth a crap. You have to pull back 3 or 4 times to get the window to break when you can use other brands and it will break the first time.
Just use an old spark plug........... Much cheaper......
What about using your halligan with a wide grip and short swing? Swing against the post to avoid hitting the patient with it. Little window punches are nice, but can get lost easy. Everybody knows where the halligan is.
Halligan tool for glass management, where is the control there, that is certainly not best practise.
Holmatro supply a very good spring operated punch and cheap too, a very good tool for gold standard glass management.

You pull back on the spring and let go. Simple to use and you're not pushing into the window.
I was wondering how the ones from Howell Rescue would work. I guess I will have to order a few to test out.

agreed...i carry one of the hammers in my turnout pocket....works everytime...
I just use my Resqwrench,tool of many purposes.Big enough not to get lost and has many uses. T.C.

Of course there's also backups scattered through my gear: res-q-me, res-q-rench, and a life hammer.
the antenna on the car works great too just unscrew it or break-off at the bottom you then pull it back and whip the glass with the ball on the end
Grab the car antennae, or get an older one and make your own spring punch.
