In my opinion;
The IAFF was once was a Union that fought for it's members, not just the issues that the Union administration thought was important but actually care about the members as people. Those days are now gone. Have you tried to contact the International with any concern lately, or for that matter even to contact your local? If you get a response at all it will only be to tell you how wrong that you are.... And how much you should appreciate that the Union took time to talk to you at all.
The Union administrates seem to have plenty of time for their Las Vegas parties and hob-knobbing with movie stars and politicians but none for the members.
I have been around a while and the Union seems to be more and more useless at best and corrupt at worst.... Are we turning into what other unions have been for decades? Unions that are ran by the select few that impose their will on the membership.
I certainly hope not.....
