Can those of you that have gone through an Academy give an insight as to what to expect, what they're looking for, how to make myself stand out, the physicalities etc.? Is there anything I can practice mentally or physically now that I may encounter in the academy? If it's been a long time would you share your thoughts as to how becoming a fireman has changed since you went through the process? Is it a fair assessment to say that the more positive relationships built through the academy increases oportunnities at employment within, or does it strictly boil down to testing, orals and background? I mean I know nobody likes a kiss ***, but what are some good pointers?
