First off, thanks to the forum moderators for allowing me to join in.
I am searching for guidance on the sizing and placement for Class D portable extinguishers. From NFPA 10-1998, I see...
"3-6.4 Size determination shall be on the basis of the specific
combustible metal, its physical particle size, area to be covered,
and recommendations by the fire extinguisher manufacturer
on data from control tests conducted."
I have found no specifics from available manufacturers data. Does anyone know of sizing guidelines based on the potential hazard (Low, Medium, High) such as is found with other fire classes?
Thanks in advance.........
