Thumbs up Attention! Attention! This Is WKRP Joining The Net

    HEHEEHEHEEE

Station takes call letters of TV show

    Saturday, November 29, 2008 (11-29) 06:48 PST CINCINNATI, (AP) --

WKRP is back on the air in Cincinnati — but this time it's for real.

A low-power TV station has changed its call letters to WKRP, the same as the fictional radio station in the 1970s hit series "WKRP in Cincinnati."

The station changed its call letters to promote its new digital TV signal. It formerly went by WBQC-TV.

General Manager Elliott Block says the new call letters give the station recognition because so many people remember the television sit-com.

Forget Les, I'm far more interested in Ms. Anderson.

I thought she was the better of the two. More natural.

My favorite WKRP episodes: A toss up between the Turkey Drop and the Tornado one with the Japanese Tourist..

I put my vote in for Bailey, however, there was something about Lonnie Anderson's character that I liked, but I could never get a hold of what it was..

Bailey and Jennifer coming over to my house was a teenaged fantasy of mine.

For those with cable,"WKRP" airs on WGN out of Chicago,I think on Monday nights.
The episode the other night when Jennifer comes in and Johnny is drinking brandy because the heat is out,so he talks her into a couple snorts.
Then he thinks that he saw Mrs. Carlson walking by and Jennifer ends up sharing the bottle with her.Later,Les thinks it's time to make a pass at Mrs Carlson to get walls for his office.
Pretty good episode even with the twist ending.
My favorite episode has to be the one with Hoyt Axton in it where he had to pretend that he was in love with Loni Anderson.Everyone thought he was in town to claim her so she gets Johnny Fever to stand up for her.Only thing is that he's in town to see if she can get him a recording contract.
