I'm the captain of an explorer post in texas, I'm thinking about making our post also an ESAR (Explorer Search & Rescue) post. Any thoughts?

Why don't you just drill on S&R instead of changing anything? Whenever your post meeting/drills are you can train on S&R. I think its a good idea but im a little confused to what you mean by Search and Rescue, what type of S&R? Like confined space, collapse, high angle rescue type training?

Here is an explorer organization that does a lot of the S&R for King County. Might want to contact them for information about ESAR.
