Default Stay Out of the Doghouse

My wife sent me this one yesterday. I figured that I should share some guidance with my fellow men in the audience for Christmas, anniversaries, and birthdays..........

    Talking Well..............

If that Doesn't work, try what I did 2 years ago.........

Wanted something different for Laura (My wife) So.............. Went to a Well known store, not too "High end" but decent. I bought her a Ladies Wallet, the fairly large kind with the string of plastic Photo holder gizmos. I started at one end of the Mall, and worked toward the other getting Gift Cards, all the stores that I thought she'd like. Bass Pro Shops, Lowe's, Home Depot, Dick's Sporting Goods,..... You get the Idea..... Then I filled the photo holders with gift cards. Mission accomplished. She was so happy at Christmas she never noticed the newly purchased Modified Tractor sitting in the Garage, waiting for the the Spring and Tractor Pulling Competition to start up..........

Hey awesome! I never knew you were a tractor puller!

My uncle was a local champion tractor puller, has a huge trophy case full.

I thought only us cheeseheads got into that!

Harve is all about tractor pulling!! In fact, I predict that if he reads this thread again, it will become the tractor pulling information station.

I enjoy tractor pulling, and have carried as many as Seven on a step-deck trailer. Of course, 4 were still in crates and not fully assembled, the other three were turn key ready. As much as I liked tractor pulling, once off the trailer, I prefer to crank and drive them.

Harve, if I ever find that special someone, I pray that I remember your gift idea, and will follow through. However, you could just about bet that instead of a new tractor, I'd probably be hiding a new Triton...

You're right about that. Add in that she's a Swedish Blonde who loves NASCAR, Tractor Pulling, and the Fire Service as much as I do and we're quite a pair. She did make a purchase at Bass Pro last week that got my attention though, since her new toy was Made by Glock......

Have you ever gone to any of Pr. Wm. Co. fairs? They used to have some pretty good pulling events. Last time I was there was over 10 years ago now tho.

Yep!! Sure Do. Since PWCF is a 2 night Event, We stay at a Motel instead of driving back. It's only 45 miles one way, but unless we need to do something in the shop, it's easier to stay and party after the Friday nite event. 2 years ago, we left Manassas at 2300 Friday, went home, Changed out the Motor and was back for the Saturday nite pull. Not much sleep...........

Fortunately I've never made one of those blunders. I can do enough damage on my own without buying the "wrong gift" LOL

    Default Someone who's been there... : ^)

Move it on over by George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers

I come in last night about half past ten,
That baby of mine wouldn't let me in.
    So move it on over.
    Rock it on over.
    Move over little dog,
a mean, old dog is movin' in.

She told me not to mess around,
But I done let the deal go down.
    Move it on over.
    Rock it on over.
    Move over nice dog,
a big, fat dog is movin' in.

She changed the lock on my back door,
Now my key won't fit no more.
    Move it on over.
    Rock it on over.
    Move over nice dog,
a mean, old dog is movin' in.

She threw me out just as pretty as she pleased.
Pretty soon I've been scratchin' fleas.
    Move it on over.
    Slide it on over.
    Move over nice dog,
a mean, old dog is movin' in.

Yeah! Listen to me dog before you start to whine,
That side's yours and this side's mine.
    Move it on over.
    Rock it on over.
    Move over little dog,
a big, old dog is movin' in.

Yeah! She changed the lock on my back door,
Now my key won't fit no more.
    Move it on over.
    Rock it on over.
    Move over little dog,
a big, old dog is movin' in.

    Move it on over.
    Move it on over.
    Move it on over.
Won't you rock it on over.
    Move over cool dogs,
    a hot dog's movin' in.
