    Default Wood I Beams = death trap

    A local news channel ran a story about how nasty these things could be to us. sorry if this is a repeat I have been away for a while.

    No suprise there. I just finished Fire Service Academy. During the construction chapter, I looked at one of those and was kinda' chuckled. I suppose they are less expensive, so home builders and home buyers are fine with that material, just of the sake of saving a few $$. Good video clip.

    That's why they are used so much, because they are less expensive. They are used everywhere in newer homes.
