What kind of background do you guys have? Do you'll have emt certification, cpr training, or volunteer experience? I have a degree and solid work experience managing people. I was actually in charge of safety and efficiency for a warehouse. But, I have no fire or emt experience. Do you guys think I stand a chance? What can I do to improve my chances by the time selection comes around?

You should hear results within 4-6 weeks of the test date. They said it may be through the mail or by email.

I passed. I'm scheduled to practice my CPAT on May 26th. I wasn't expecting to get three chances to pass the CPAT. Hopefully one is all that I need.

No letter yet. I love seeing fat and overweight people and also people that think they are cool try to pass the CPAT. Not making funny, but if you want the best job in the world, get off your *** and get ready if you never did the CPAT.

Got my letter that i passed too. Charlotte doesn't give test scores. Only pass or fail. They don't have a ranking system. As long as you continue to pass, you are considered in the running for hire. Good luck to everyone this year on the CPAT.

I talked to someone of pretty decent importance yesterday and he said they cut off the number of applicants at 2,800.

Just wanted to congradulate everyone on passing the written test and moving on to the next step. Unforunatly, I didnt see the automatic disqualifiers on there website and even though I passed the test, I cant move on becasue of a Dui that happened a little over 2 years ago, which im very ashamed of and disapointed in myself of. But on a brighter side , just wanted to wish everyone good luck on there way to getting a badge , and one day I hope to join the rest of ya.
