In need of Manta, Ecuador info
I just got offered the 1 FF/DO position that was open at Manta, Ecuador with the ITT contract. From what I hear from a guy currently there and the Fire Chief, who was my Training Chief in Honduras back in 2005, the contract/site will be closing within 9-12 months. For anyone who's wondering, all positions are filled at this time. I just got my foot in the door becuase of the people I knew.
Anyways, the main purpose of this post is to see if anyone who has done this contract, or who is currently over there now, has any info on what to expect, i.e. things to bring, locals, things to do on 48hr off days, what to expect, size of the department, etc. I would appreciate all input. Thanks.
