Hello Everyone,
I am currently working on fire/ems protocols for our department. Our communication center has one dispatcher per shift that dispatches for the police department, Full-time fire department, Full-time EMS (which covers 1/3 of the county), and two volunteer fire departments. We use alpha-numeric pagers as well as our 800 tones for the full-yime department and just tones for the two volunteer department.
Basically, we are trying to update our call scripts and trying to figure out how other departments dispatch out their fire/ems calls. We do not use NAEMD or any protocol system like that, due to the city manager and funding.
Please Feel free to send emails!

Thank you,
Heather Trask
