My name is Matt. I graduated from the Ohio Fire Academy a couple of weeks ago. I am certified as a firefighter 2 but I am taking my EMT-B registry on wednesday. I already have taken it once and I failed the first time. I have been studying out of the exam prep book they gave us during the course and online on some websites. I was just wondering if there was any further advise that I could get from some folks that maybe were in the same shoes or think I should try a different route.

Also, I am looking around for a job and I have put in around 10 different applications to different places. I have turned in a resume, background check and vehicle record check to all places hoping to maybe speed up the process when I finally have my EMT cert. Any further advise on ways to get into a department faster or anything?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
