Hello everyone, been trolling a while and finally have a reason to post a question.
My dept. has a newer e-one typhoon pumper outfitted with akron valves with a problem I can't seem to solve.
After pumping with the truck, (regardless of having flowed any water or not) the deluge gun will glug out maybe 1/2 to 1 gallons of water after taking the truck out of pump gear. It doesn't leak a drop while in pump, and the valve has not been disturbed during the whole process.
All I can figure is water is getting past the ball and seat after the pressure is relieved, somehow to a point higher than the water level in the tank.
All I know is the guys at the station are tired of mopping, and all i can tell them is to open the bleeder before parking it after pumping.

Leaking deck gun?If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.
