~1530- MVA- car into a telephone pole
and it's been quiet ever since.

Our year ended and started with fire. We were a 3rd alarm response to a fire in the keys at the Cheeca lodge. Apparently a famous place

~04:10 Smoke condition in a 7-11. Ended up that PD had wrong 7-11 and it was not in our town.

I'll play...
0314 - Commercial alarm at local high school. Alarm panel sent us to the gymnasium. Opened the door and it was literally 130+ degrees in there. Boiler had turned on and had been jacking heat in there for quite awhile.

0346-Fire Alarm. We went to the boiler room, temperatures of over 250 degrees. No fire though, masked up and shut off boiler and vented.
0821-2 veh MVA, nothing major, no injuries
1134-Reported structure fire

Don't know, it hasn't happened for me yet. I don't go back on duty until Saturday. As for what the dept's first call was, I have no clue.The thoughts and opinions posted here are mine and mine alone and do not reflect the thoughts and or views of city or dept affiliation.

I got called in for hazmat OT coverage at 06:30... sweet!

I was forced to endure an entire day of football, beer drinking, and frivolous behavior never having the bells go off once.

"Overdose". Guy took 4-5 Cyclobenzaprine.
Overall 10 runs for me on 1-1-09, 6 refusals or cancels, 1 with the engine, 3 transports, only used the cot once.

Went out at 2205 and back in service at 0329 I believe.
Just because it's called a throw bag, doesn't mean you throw the whole bag... you're supposed to hold onto the rope.
