Typically, we see about one workshop in each Congressional District. My guess is that this is just a very preliminary list, with more to follow. That said, for a few years i took a road trip early to catch the changes and then made sure to get to the one in my district. Not sure if i can get to Sugar Grove, IL on 20-Jan, might have to negotiate a little.

Yep, too good to last. AFG must not have been ready to have that info released, or so says the help desk. It's down for now.

I noticed at lunch time that link no longer worked....the AFG must have caught wind of it.

For MA departments the workshop dates and locations are on the MFA website.

Cool I work so much better with deadlines

I see several workshops the week of 3/23 so I'm guessing, March 27 to April 24. That means no trout season for me, however if my prediction is correct the deadline gives me a week to scout prior to the spring turkey opener.

Any one want to pony up another guess for dates?

Last year they taught a few classes while the app period was open, so might open mid-March. Maybe when I'm in Vegas in a couple weeks I'll start a line on DHS app period openings so we can play FP&S and AFG at the same time.

    Default Updated again

All regions reporting schedules now, ok well sort of. Nothing specific for R-10, still TBA.

I know that Ky is advertising a FEMA grant meeting at the spring officers school that is not listed on the FEMA site yet, but there is a listing of TBA classes.

Alright, I was asked today if it was true that for 2009 AFG would only allow one application per department. This is coming from a General Grant Writer, not one that writes just AFG.
No, we are not using this writer, an adjoining distirct is wanting to use her and yes I advised that it would be in their best interest to use one of our forum famous writers instead.

So, again, has anyone that has attended a workshop or obtained the information, heard this? is it true???

Still open for 3 from everything I've heard, they haven't found a reason to go back on it. It's up to the program to decide who needs what more, so still apps getting funding score well. Sometimes more than one goes to a department but if the need is there each app should score on its own and get funded appropriately.
