I'm trying to get a full time fire fighting job but I've found that it's going to be difficult. I have my state Firefighting in Wisconsin. I've been looking at some jobs and for example Florida wants you to have a Florida State fire fighting liscense. Also, some places in California are like that as well. Does anyone have the same problem?
Have you looked into reciprocity at all? I haven't done the research into these states, and they may not offer it, but worth a shot. Just google the state's firefighting commission and look for reciprocity guidelines.
Def. check into each states reciprocity. Also another option is to try and take classes and get certificatons that are nationally accredited.Quote:
