Thoughts and prayers go out to the firefighters and their families.

Watching news reports.....appears to be a brake failure. Last transmission from the ladder was they had no brakes. Looks like they were returning from a medical call.

I was buffing in Boston and heard the radio transmissions. They called an urgent to fire alarm that they had crashed into a building at Huntington and Parker Hill Ave's and requested EMS and additional companies. I got to the scene within 10 minutes and it was definitely sobering. I came down the hill they did, VERY STEEP. My thoughts and prayers go out to all involved.

as some of you might know that firehouse is somewhat famous for its appearance on Firehouse USA Boston. Lt. Kevin Kelley's crew was the group that aired. Ive had the chance to meet this wonderful firefighter. He was a great firefighter and will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to the families. Its been reported that it took crews an hour to pull Lt. Kelley out and one firefighter broke his ankle trying to extricate him.

    Sad day indeed.
I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.

I did a ride-a-long there on the Engine 2 years ago. Great group of guys, and an awesome Station, around all the colleges. God Bless his soul & family.
