Things are warming up downunder with fires is South Australia and NSW.
Above article refers to the local pollitician deflecting his responsibilities back to the fire service. He believes fire breaks can stop fires - the reality is they can slow the fire but will not stop a raging bush fire.
Fuel reduction is the responsibility of the land owner and is enforced by local government not the fire service.
Polies should listen to the experts prior to mouthing off.
