Harve, you haven't been listening lately...during Billary Clinton's confirmation hearing a couple of days ago, she referred to it as "Global Climate Change". I've been hearing the phrase tossed about more and more lately instead of "global warming". A little left-wing spin control since it's turning out to be the coldest winter in memory in a lot of places. Hell, we even got snow a few weeks ago...that just doesn't happen in south Louisiana

My dream and I hope you don't find this too crazy is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

Baloney. I, for one, am enjoying the Global Warming.

Just think how cold it would be right now without it!

    48? More like -48.

There was a news reporter on TV today and to demonstrate how cold it was outside he took a cup of hot water and though the water into the air. It was frozen before it hit the ground. Now that's cold!

And Dave here's complaining cuz it's a bit chilly.

I saw a news clip from somewhere (thinking Wisconsin or Minnesota) where the reporter set out 2 bananas overnight and could hammer a nail into a piece of wood with them the next morning.

Break out the sunscreen! We're up to a tropical 11F with a windchill of 1!

The fun will start when it does warm up and frozen pipes thaw...

We set a new all time record low, not for the day mind you, ever. -29 F. On the positive side, my Ford Truck was the only vehicle that started at the station in the morning.

You aren't kidding. When it gets to 10 below or more the snowmobile hardly turns over. But that is when the best riding is. Nothing like flying across a frozen lake at 100 MPH!!!!! It is a bitch though when someone pulls the icicles of your mustache.

Today's forecast high for San Diego, CA 76F and sunny, tomorrow 78F and sunny. January average high 66F.

I've enjoyed San Diego ever since the Navy first stationed me there in 1989, and I returning to visit is always fun. Never have to worry about your plans to BBQ and drink margaritas.

    Smile San Francisco

This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 70. East northeast wind around 14 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 44. East northeast wind around 9 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 68. East northeast wind around 11 mph.

It is absolutely gorgeous here for the middle of winter. This is one of the few pluses to living here in SF.
