every year our post holds a training weekend for approx 100 explorers from NY/NJ however this year our training center is going to be under construction. We are looking to still do the weekend at the county park where we camp, but need help coming up w/ 5 training evolutions. We came up w/ rescues out of the woods using the gator, ropes and knots, and ladders. We need 3 more ideas, we don't have a hydrant but lots of tankers we could do hose advance and a large barn we could ladder any ideas?

Wow a hundred Explorers, that's a lot of kids. We have an explorer program and I run them through huge table top scenarios. Just like it would be for an actual large scale incident. You could establish an incident command system. With a group in control of command sectors, communication sector, logistics, accountability. You know the routine. But it get's all your kids involved in the same scenario and gives them valuable training. Just rotate them through so each team get's to experience all the facets of a large scale incident.
A combat challenge relay is fun and it tires those guys out fast.

when we run the weekend at the training center we do ladder bailouts, breaching walls, hose adv., mask confidence, ropes/knots, car extricaton, ventilation and ems just to name a few
this year our prob is the training center will be under construction so we have to run our evolutions at a park- basically open field w/ pavilion and some buildings and lots of woods. I need evolutions that don't need large water supply- otherwise we will be running tanker shuttles. thanks
