    Thumbs up 9996, 9997, 9998, 9999

10,000. WHEW. Whoda thunk that one? So many things read, so many things learned, so many things argued, so many people met. Some really good times, some not quite so good, all in the past 8 years. Not bad for a guy who never in his wildest imaginations would have thought heíd ever pick up a fire hose much less learn how to use one, or enjoy all the things that go with that privilege. And it is a privilege.

A privilege to have met the folks I have met and shared a meal or a beer with, or sometimes both. Those whom Iíve had the chance to get to know well, and those I know only through the Forums. All truly GREAT people, and GREAT friends. Its not often that a person gets to meet people like you lot!

Since realizing that post number 10,000 was coming soon, Iíve spent a lot of time thinking about that and what it means. Sure, I know sometimes (well ok a lot of times) the stuff Iíve posted has been down right dumb and off the wall. Show me someone who hasnít done that! Go ahead. I dare ya! LOL But there have been many long and serious discussions about a great many things. Sometimes Iíve taken a bit of a hit for my thoughts or opinions, but thatís the great thing about those thoughts, they were mine. But the truly greatest part of it all is the thoughts and opinions of everyone here on the Boards. You guys have given some good reason for some deep thinking, and even on occasion some deep research into a particular topic. That produced learning, and learning is something that should be done every day. Sometimes the lesson was a bit tough to take, but thatís all part of the process too.

Hereís to Number 10,000, and hereís to you guys Ďn gals. Thank you for a great time, and may there be many more to follow!

And here's a toast for those Friends, Brothers and Sisters who no longer with us. May they look down upon us with smiles and nods, and maybe a thumbs up now and again. We will always remember them.

    CHEERS!

Congrats. Only about 1200 to go to catch me.

I'm just wondering why no one criticized you for posting a commerative lament upon reaching 10,000 like they did for me.

I guess it could be worse. With all of those bulls around, there must be alot of..., well....., you know.... around. At least I'm not the one waving that stuff around.
