    Default Bizzare crash

    Hey!

Last night in Limbach-Oberfrohna (Saxony, Germany): A speeding station wagon overshot a crossing, ran up a hillock and got airborne. The flight ended after 35 m (105 ft.!!) when the car broke into the roof of a local church in a height of 7 m (21 ft.!!).

Wow, has anyone estimated how fast the car was going before getting airborne?

hahahahah i could only imaging arriving onscene to that! judging on the small takeoff and extremely high "landing", I really doubt that actually hapened. But if he was going 150mph then sure.

A physicist (Gunther Beddies from Chemintz Technical University) calculated a speed of 75 km/h (approx. 50 mph) when the car took off.

It may well be on the level. From what I can translate from the video and pictures, sounds like the driver was ****ed and was really smokin it when he overshot. Speeds of 150mph are not unusual on the autobahn. The driver was alive when they pulled him out.

Brings new meaning to a drive through church, or maybe he was running late for church services. Looks like the end result of a good episode of Mythbusters.

The video stated that the driver, who is 35 years old, is in the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Last night on the A3 Autobahn: A polish truck driver lost control over his vehicle, crashed into a roadworks and his entire truck made an amazing 6 m (18 ft.) jump.
Have a look on his incredible layby - directly on a partly parted bridge, 20 m (60 ft.) above the ground:
    Pictures
    How he did it

    Best regards,
    Chris
