Has anyone had a successful address posting grant. Looking for some insight. Outside of response time improvement we are looking for ideas for the "measurable results".
Thank you from the foothills of the very snowy Adirondacks

Our address sig grant was funded in 2007 with a FP grant. Email me at bweil@nocfa.com and I will share the narrative. Our project was for 1581 signs and it was a big sucess with the residents. We had a few snags along the way and I have a few recommendations for you.

If it's not too much trouble, would you be able to forward a copy to me also? mrosen@buffalo.com. I have been trying to get my department to do this since I joined about 2 years ago. My old company did it and it was a great help. Especially in a very rural area. Many thanks in advance!

Let me jump on board too. Would you send me the narritive too.
I think this would be an excellent regional project for our County.
Can't get County Officials to do it so the FDs will do it.
mail to alarms@orangeburgvfd.com --- thanks

I am working on a do's, don'ts, tips, lessons learned for a project like this. This is a great project but very labor intensive. We learned alot of things along the way that we can share and make it easier. I will respond to the email requests.

So I am assuming this would be an eligible project with excess funds under fire prevention

Address Signs
We took it on as an internal project at the fire department. We put them together for the home owners, they pay the supplies plus $2 a sign. We have sold around 1,000 of them to our community (and some out of the community). This has resulted in a much easier way to find there address. Making the signs is easy and the $2 bucks go to the general fund.
