    Smile Chicago Fire

    I'm heading to Chicago tomorrow for the weekend. Were staying along Michigan Ave. I'm curious to know where the nearest firehouse is or if there is any fire related shops etc to visit while in Chicago?

    The old firehouse down by Water Tower is converted to a restaurant, if it’s still open. Have no idea if it’s any good, and can almost guarantee to be pricy.

    Default Where on Michigan Avenue?

    If you're staying on N. Michigan, then Engine 98 as mentioned above at 202 E. Chicago - also Engine 42 at Illinois & Dearborn - our version of the "Big House" - has 6 companies in it.

    Check out the big house across from RainForest Cafe...Engine,Truck, Squad 1, B/C and a Command Van out of there. I visited Chicago during a business trip last year....nice guys.

    Also a large station about 3 or 4 blocks east of Harry Karrey's and about one block north. Those guys are cool as well.
