    Default Baltimore County EMT Question

They just began accepting applications for this position

    http://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/Age...ies/index.html

Obviously this is for EMT only and not fire side. Has anyone gone through this before? A two years is a long probation...how likely is it that you can transfer to Fire/EMS after this two year probation??

Yes there is a Firefighter bridge program offered at the academy to EMS personnel looking to move to fire side. I beleive it is mostly a review of FF1 and 2. Hope this helps.

Did they send out letters for the written date already? I thought people had till the first Friday in March to submit an app.

I received and email saying my test is at 8AM on March 7th. It sounds like they're gonna have a few test dates.

Huh that's strange. I went online and it said they are reviewing my application for the position and I submitted it like 3 weeks ago. Maybe I'll call them Monday.

Got an email yesterday with a study guide for the test and a message saying I will find out the written test date within the next couple of weeks.
