Hello I have a set of black FireDex gear with a substantial hole in the knee. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good, trutworthy companys that will ethier repair and replace the knee, or sell me a new outer shell. I have found a few websites online but would like to see what else is out there. I am leaning more towards just buying a new outer shell. Thanks

I have torn holes in my gear many times and the dept. sends it back to the manf. for repair. Am I correct that this is not an option for you?

This is a personal set of gear that I have for live fires trainings, you could say its a backup set of gear. If I send my pants to FireDex would they be able to re-install a knee. If it was the gear I use for work they would have no problem fixing my gear.

You could send it to the manufacturer and have them replace it with a stronger knee. There are several different options. Also, there are companies that will repair gear for you. I don't know what state you are in so I can't really point you towards one near you.

Ok thanks, I may just send the outside liner into FireDex and have them install a new Knee. Another option that I am thinking about is.... Is there anyway I can just buy a neq outside liner from anywhere.

The chances of you buying just the outer shell from anybody but the manufacture is slim to none due to nfpa regs.

Yeah, We just had them come to our county meeting, Was very knowledgeable in the NFPA standards for repairing and maintaining gear. We sent a set of pants with them to repair holes in the bottom of the pants from one of guy's using them that the pants was too long for, very good work on them, and had them back in less than a week. and was a lot cheaper than I thought it was going to be, was only around $60 to fix them, and that was after shipping back to us as well! Send me a pm and I will tell you more, and let me know where you are from.
