    Default Ohio Explorer Death

It is sad that I must inform all of you of the passing of one of Troy Twp., Ohio (Wood County) Explorers last evening. The Explorer is a 16 year old son of one of Troy Twp. FD's Firefighters. Details are still coming in from various sources about what had transpired last evening to lead to the Explorer passing away. It is known that he had been fighting cancer for some time. At this time, I don't have a name of the explorer or any further info. Further details will be posted as soon as I receive them.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

    Unhappy

Such a thing is never a good thing, and when it involves a young person, 'tis all the more a sad thing.

Its also a reminder that life, no matter how old or how young, is a precious thing and that we should celebrate it. All ways. From here, there can be no more pain for the young lad, and hopefully only healing and fond memories for the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. It's just not right to have to bury a child.

No parent should ever have to bury their child. Such a sad thing. May the Good Lord watch over his family and his colleagues and give them strength in this situation.

I didn't get a chance to make it to the service tonight, but as far as I know, they were going to do a fireman's service for him. I havn't heard anything more today.
