I would like to congratulate you on something I noticed in your pictures.... SPRINKLERS....WAY TO GO!!! In my "Humble" Opinion ANY fire station built without sprinklers should not be considered for any awards...... Yours should....
Sorry, I been very busy here lately but here is a lot of pictures of the construction as promised.
And yet more. . . . .:D
Finished Day Room
Main Entrance into living quarters and dedication plaques.
The front porch and Capt. Bubba Wellmon, moving into his new office, wishing he was sitting on the front porch. :D
We are almost finish with the building there are a few odds and ends, here and there that have to be address. We are still waiting on the generator so that we can use the elevator. Finish the weight room, and remodel the downs stairs bathroom. Time line of the of the official dedication and open house will be in Oct. Again we feel blessed and are very thankful for the support of our community and others. I thought that I would post some more pictures of all of our fire houses, starting in the late 1930 and up until today. The 1st picture is of our 1st house which was built by the members, and is now used by the police dept. the Second picture is of our second house which was built by the membership in 1960. This building is now used by town hall. The third and forth pictures are of the our current house which was built in the mid 70's with the help of the Mead Paper plant. The last picture is of the new and improve house.
Well done Bull, very well done.
Your community and FD as a whole, has something to be proud of.
