Nice station.
How many bays are dedicated to EMS and how many to fire?
What size crews do you have running FT out of each side?
Do they share common areas such a kitchen, lounge/day room and bathrooms/showers?

Thank you. The Building is the Jackson County Rescue Squad's main Station and is our Substation. We will run two trucks (1 tanker & 1 engine) out of it. When our new addition is complete the Squad will run two of their trucks out of our station. At this time, there are no Ambulances station at either building. We will have room at our main station, when completed, to house an ambulance and living quarters for one crew, if and when the NCSHP moves out. As it stands now, Both the Fire Dept. and the Squad has equal use of the building's facilities. As to the question on staffing, there are no paid ff at this substation and our main station only has one paid member. (Its all the county will pay for at this time.) No the Charger is not mine, it belongs to one of the STEP (Sheriff's Traffic Enforcement Program) units. Since I got promoted to a shift supervisor (Sgt.) spot, I had to give up my car and now drive a SUV. The pays a lot more but there are times when I miss my Crown Vic. Originally Posted by hwoods

Sorry For the delay in posting any more updates. We finally got a temp C.O. The generator has still not shown up as of yet. But we now have a new home for "OLD RED".
I post more pictures of the "House" soon.

I would like to congratulate you on something I noticed in your pictures.... SPRINKLERS....WAY TO GO!!! In my "Humble" Opinion ANY fire station built without sprinklers should not be considered for any awards...... Yours should....

Thank you very much. We decided to sprinkle the whole building during the upgrade, including the new construction, we retrofitted the older truck bays and the Highway Patrol Office. We figured that it was better to be safe than sorry. Originally Posted by Seagravesstick
